Electronic Cigarette Forum - ECF
Our forum servers are in the US, but we serve vapers globally. Our top countries are:
We have approx 1.5 million unique monthly visitors.
ECF started in December 2007. I started it because i'd bought several models, finding them all to be promising but inadequate in terms of quality, consistency and overall effect. It seemed pretty clear, however, that this was just an engineering problem, and that the concept itself was brilliant.
I had a vision that by establishing a forum, I could encourage people toget in on the act - and that we'd see innovations in the market spurred on by demands from consumers. Pretty quickly (within 6 months), we had entrepreneurs developing new and more powerful devices (e.g. the screwdriver), and this has continued exponentially.
It was also clear to me, from the outset, that the industry could quite easily become infiltrated by unscrupulous people, making false promises and selling overpriced hooky gear. Indeed, this did happen, but we at ECF chose to be very strict about ensuring that anyone who wished to make business via our site had to adhere to strict standards. I think ECF has had a positive impact on the discourse around e-cigs, and helped consumers and the industry by setting standards. Most vendors, including those not represented on our site, adhere to the kind of standards that we insisted on from day 1.
Our future goals are to keep developing the community experience, aswell as ensuring that those new to vaping get hold of the rightequipment, keeping them off tobacco smoking forever.
